In Partnership with Huddersfield Town FC, over 90 Key Workers names have been included in BPM Tech’s logo for the Cardiff City match on Friday 5th of March 2021
Various match worn shirts will be available to win via a raffle and auction to raise funds for three charities:

Key Worker Tributes and Messages
Jacob works as an Operating Department Practitioner at Chapel Allerton Hospital, however throughout the pandemic he has been working tirelessly at LGI in the Intensive Care Unit, caring for those who need ventilating due to Covid. Jacob is also a massive town fan, having held a season ticket since he was a little boy.

I’m really grateful BPM tech have made this amazing offer to key workers at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. As a surgeon, and Associate Medical Director at the time COVID started, I have seen the courage, dedication, compassion, sacrifices, tenacity and strength of incredible clinical and non-clinical colleagues all across the Trust. I’ve also seen the strain and pressure COVID continues to place on the whole team, for BPM tech to reach out and acknowledge that in this way is brilliant.

It would be fantastic to see my daughters name on the shirt she is a sister in A and E at Calderdale. Incidentally her brother is Ryan Schofield, her name is Katie Schofield. To see their names together on the shirt would be something we could never have imagined. We as parents are so proud our both our children but the work undertaken by the NHS is more than a job and the care is immeasurable and given with dedication and selflessness. Is there any chance I could leave a message that might be picked to be shown my girlfriend Lia Crowther has worked through lockdown as a nurse at st James hospital on the front line and I’m super proud of her and she’s a massive town fan looking forward to getting back in the stand as soon as possible. The Mast is a Primary Care Network that consists of 5 GP Practices; Kirkburton Health Centre, Skelmanthorpe Family Doctors, Shepley Health Centre and Lepton and Kirkheaton Surgeries. The Mast have worked together as a Covid Vaccination Centre to vaccinate our patients within the network within the eligible cohorts. All staff clinical and non-clinical have participated in the programme. We have had a fantastic response from our local volunteers within the community who have contributed to the success of the Covid Vaccination programme. The Network have worked 12 hours a day to ensure that we vaccinate all the cohorts eligible and that we keep our patients safe. It is thanks to all our NHS staff, volunteers and patients for the smooth running and a successful vaccine roll out. Many thanks

My mum, Liz Harrington, is an NHS physio who has been moved all around her hospital to different wards to help out where she can. We are all really proud of the work she had done and everyone else who has stepped up to help out. We regularly go to Town games from London as part of the Southern Terriers group.

My grandson Joe Butterworth works as a porter at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. Joe is a key worker on the front line in the fight against Covid-19. The Hospital is really busy at the moment with admissions really high. Making the job even harder, Joe being designated as a porter who moves Covid patients, he has to wear full PPE equipment for the duration of his shift. For these reasons we think he is a NHS Hero. He is also a massive HTAFC fan and season ticket holder and attends games with his father Sean Butterworth who is also a season ticket holder. He would be thrilled to see his name on a Town shirt.

My mum Heather Paxton, has been working all the way through the Coronavirus Pandemic and has kept post going out to rural communities in the toughest times. She has been the only person some isolated and lonely people have seen since March and has always made sure to have a good chat and keep their spirits up. She has supported town for over 20 years and misses the football and her football family a great deal.

Chris Ward was the founder and setup the HTAFC North America Supporters Group - uniting town fans across the USA & Canada, advocating for the club on NBC Sports programs (US TV channel) & several USA Soccer Fan podcasts. He leads multiple teams across Colorado and Wyoming that maintain the largest windfarms across both states, ensuring energy continues to be generated and that power 1million+ homes, schools, hospitals ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply. He has had to adapt all his operations to navigate around people contracting Covid to ensure homes are still powered,"

Claire Alletson works for the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation trust she is a Ward Manager for Trauma Orthopaedics. Lucy Rothery works at Calderdale Hospital as Ward Clerk for Paediatrics (ward 3). I have nominated them both as they both have been working every day to help people who still need hospital support during the pandemic. They are both long time season ticket holders for Huddersfield Town and both such lovely people. This is such lovely idea. Thanks for taking the time to read my email.

I think what your company is doing is fantastic. I'd like to nominate my sister Nu Joshi who works as a podiatrist for Bradford PCT. She's been redeployed numerous times and worked wherever needed during the pandemic in the last year and worked throughout all the lockdowns. I'm a secondary teacher and my husband works for the police. My brother and dad own a convenience store so we've all had a tiny part to play over the last year. Now she's not only doing her regular job with high risk patients but she's also spending one evening and both her weekend days vaccinating local people so we can get ahead in the fight against Covid. I'd love for you to consider her worthy of one of the shirt names. Thank you

I nominate Dr Andrew Martin, originally from Batley and now a junior doctor for NHS Scotland in Glasgow. He's been a Town fan since before he started school and has worked tirelessly during the pandemic on the front line, including in COVID High Dependency Units and Intensive Care Units. If possible, I also nominate his dad, Richard Martin, of Liversedge. Richard is a devoted Terrier and is in his 70s and has spent time during lockdown volunteering, checking in on vulnerable and more elderly members of the community and as a Marshall at Covid Testing Centres. On Friday he does his first shift at the JSS as a vaccination volunteer. Hope you can squeeze both of these in. I think your initiative is superb. I will definitely be bidding for one of the shirts. It would be wonderful if you could get Karen Lord on the front of the Town Shirt for the Cardiff match. She has been unbelievable working in A&E at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary every hour god sends! She has been a real trooper and been put through soooo much horribleness, including seeing some terrible things, being but through abuse physical and mental, and holding hands of the patients that cannot see their families when they are dying. I would like to nominate my brother, John Hardy. He is a lifelong Town fan and season card holder. He is head microbiologist at Calderdale and has worked tirelessly for a year organising COVID-19 testing for the hospital. He has also had ill health himself. He is due to retire in March after nearly 40 years working for the NHS and won’t get a retirement party due to restrictions. He would be over the moon to be honoured by his beloved Town. Michaela has been a supporter since I introduced her to Leeds road in 1991, and a season ticket holder since 1994/5.

I would love to nominate my daughter Chloe Ward. She is a nursing associate in her final 2 years of studying at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Huddersfield University. She goes above and beyond the hours she is contracted to do and also goes in on her days off when not working. She recently got a phone call from her ward saying they are dangerously understaffed so she walk 2 miles to get there though the bad know to help out. She would so deserve this accolade. Many thanks
