My client is looking for talented software professional to join them in developing and enhancing their market-leading software products in a technical business analyst position.

As a Business Systems Analyst you will be be able to demonstrate both technical (development) skills and the softer business analysis skills, as you will work as part of the software development team, designing and supporting bespoke commercial systems for customers. The role will cover a full scope of software development activities including requirements gathering, system design, testing and customer support, enabling you to take personal responsibility for most of the lifecycle tasks from concept to fully-formed product.

We also expect our Business System Analysts to enhance their skills by engaging with regulatory bodies, analysing industry issues that impact our software and becoming the relevant subject matter expert for specific product areas.

The essential skills/experience required for the role include:

  • Previous experience in a business systems analyst position
  • Understanding of databases
  • Experienced at gathering requirements through stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of creating detailed functional specifications
  • Development/Scripting skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
This is a great role for someone who still enjoys the technical aspects to software/systems development lifecycle, whilst using their business analysis skills to have full project involvement from understanding the requirements, to the delivery and post implementation support of the software products.

In return, my client offers a competitive salary (up to £48,000 per annum depending on experience) plus an excellent benefits package including discretionary annual bonus, generous non- contributory pension scheme, private health care and 26 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays). The role will be based in Daventry, Northamptonshire with occasional travel and the potential for some working from home.
