Role Summary

This role supports our vision by supporting, motivating and inspiring a team of Regional Fundraisers who are engaging with local communities, businesses, organisations and groups to generate the funds needed to support the delivery of our services for our families.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities;- Supervise a team of Regional Fundraisers by communicating goals and objectives, monitoring performance and conducting effective one to ones.
- Supervisory level responsibilities for designated team including recruitment, induction training, and management of sickness, absence and compliance in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Work with the Director of Income Generation to agree key priorities and focusses for Regional Fundraising including a focussed annual calendar of activities and events.
- With support from the Director of Income Generation, develop and implement an annual income and relationship plan for a local region, and support other Regional Fundraisers in creating their own plans to include forecasting and monitoring on income, activity and performance against agreed KPIs.
- Work as part of the Income Generation Leadership Team to deliver team income targets and support other areas of the income generation plan through collaboration and interdependent team working.
- Be part of a co-production team that will create and develop fundraising initiatives to generate additional income.
- Generate income from a targeted part of the region, maximising all opportunities in order to grow and sustain individual, corporate and group support
- Responsible for achieving agreed personal fundraising targets through the support and cultivation of both existing and new donors and supporters including volunteer led events, community groups, religious groups, businesses and local organisations.
- Regularly report to line manager on performance against key performance measures.
- Work with colleagues within the Income Generation team and key stakeholders across the organisation to deliver the Regional Fundraising plan.
- Work collaboratively with other key stakeholders to constantly improve and evolve the supporter journey in order to maximise the lifetime value of our supporters.
- Develop a strong network of individual, community and corporate contacts to help with the development of new relationship/fundraising opportunities.
- Represent Forget Me Not at local events and cheque presentations utilising volunteer support where applicable.
- Raise awareness of the work of the hospice with the aim of securing financial support.
- Support the Events Fundraising plan, promoting ticket sales and challenge event places. Work with the Partnerships Executive to secure new business club members and move current members through the tiers, encourage other corporate support/activity and secure sponsorship for our events.

Skills and experience
Essential- Ability to supervise the work of others and lead by example.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to present to a diverse range of audiences.
- Able to develop and maintain fundraising relationships at all levels, with a proven track record of new business and income development.
- Confident and personable with an ability to influence and persuade.
- Able to work under pressure, managing and prioritising a busy workload.
- Organised and able to meet deadlines and targets.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- IT literate including databases.
- Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and willingness to travel.
Desirable - Previous fundraising experience.
- Knowledge of Fundraising Codes of Practice.
- Awareness of current trends and developments in fundraising.
- Experience of leading, managing or supervising a team of people.
Education / qualifications
Desirable- IoF qualification – certificate or diploma
- IoF Membership
This role will involve occasional evening and weekend working so flexibility is essential.
