- Role: Senior Systems Administrator
Skills: Linux, SQL, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Scripting
Location: Remote based - Travel to Birmingham 1-2 times a month
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000pa (Depending on experience)
A great role to join my clients team as a Senior Systems Administrator, taking responsibility for the Linux infrastructure and cloud platforms for the business. The Systems Administrator will be able to demonstrate strong experience working within enterprise environments, including working within the DevOps space.
You will have experience with cloud technology, AWS and/or Azure, Google Cloud as your role will include being the main point of contract for maintaining on-prem as well as cloud-hosted with enterprise grade security.
Further responsibilities will include troubleshooting, monitoring and performance analysis, using modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the TICK stack.
Key experience required for the Systems Administrator (Linux):
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration , including scripting skills.
• Has worked with MYSQL databases, including performance tuning.
• A strong knowledge of Cloud technologies - AWS and/or Azure, Google Cloud
• Networking and security skills including Linux firewall management, cloud security and Web Application Firewalls [WAF].
• Working experience of containerisation technologies such as Docker, Orchestration and Kubernetes.
• A working knowledge of CI/CD
