Role: IT Systems Analyt
Type: Contract - outside ir35
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £350 to £400/day
Location: Northampton
My client, a financial services organisation, are looking to recruit a Systems Analyst on a 6 month contract to bridge between business and technical teams in a large change programme.
Key skills/experience;
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Proven work experience as a Systems Analyst in large change projects or programmes within banking or financial services
• Proven ability to undertake detailed systems analysis and translate business requirements into technical artefacts that a technical audience will be able to comprehend
• Ability to translate business requirements into more technical requirements bridging the gap between business and system requirements.
• Proven ability to define systems models and identify ways to improve them.
• Ability to query and navigate through objects in a Relational Database, understand transaction processes in a database.
• Experience of ETL processes associated with reporting or other applications with a significant dependency on data accuracy and management
• Ability to ask focused questions to identify and develop technical perspectives
• Ability to understand data flows and write technical specifications
• Working experience in understanding business rules, financial terminology and a working knowledge of implementing financial processes and workflows
• Formulate operational designs (aligned with business-processes) to fulfil business requirements
• Ability to explain technical details in plain language
• Excellent analytical skills and able to analyse the technical risk
• Able to identify solutions for reducing costs, increase efficiency or security
Desired Skills & Experience
• Working knowledge of Oracle Flexcube banking platform will be desirable.
• Working knowledge of Oracle database and middleware architecture will be beneficial.
• Full software development life cycle and experience of integrating new and legacy systems.
• Experience of systems architecture and technical documentation.
