Role Profile:  IT End User Computing (EUC) Engineer

Location:      Remote Based with travel to sites across the UK (Mainly Midlands and South England)
Salary:          £33,000pa - £38,000pa + Private Healthcare and Pension

Position: 

A fantastic opportunity to join my client who are recruiting for 2nd/3rd line desktop support professionals to be part of their EUC team, assisting in the delivery of a major desktop rollout out across 60+ sites in the UK, as well as rolling out Office 365 and Windows 10. You will also go to sites, post migration, to perform floor-walking duties for staff in order to ensure post-migration support is on-hand.

The role requires a broad working knowledge across a number of end user technologies, and the ability to perform updates and troubleshoot issues at a 3rd line level. 

Responsibilities for the EUC (IT Support) Engineer include:

  • Play a major role in the rollout of new desktops and Office 365 and Windows 10 across Dell equipment.
  • Undertake typical break fix and support activities on all EUC related infrastructure, both on-site and remotely, as required including general maintenance and system upgrades
  • Support the delivery of services within agreed timescales and in accordance with SLAs
  • Support the delivery of major EUC projects and change programmes
  • Manage the installation, support and maintenance of production systems to completion
  • Take ownership of incidents ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders and where needed, post incident review
Key experience required for the EUC (IT Support) Engineer:

  • 5 years experience in an end user desktop support role, delivering support across multiple locations
  • Experience supporting EUC technologies such as, group policy, Windows 7/10, Physical hardware, Active Directory, Office 365, Mobile Device Management, Desktop/Application virtualisation, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN & Windows networking (DHCP & DNC)
  • Good experience in vendor patching and patching technologies (Microsoft, 3rd party) 
  • Microsoft certifications - Desirable
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services - Azure/AWS
  • Excellent customer service skills
The EUC (IT Support) Engineer will be someone who thrives on delivering excellent service to end users. You will be part of a team that takes ownership of issues reported, providing updates to the users on a regular basis, and seeing the issue through to resolution. You will have the opportunity to be involved in project work, as well as BAU tasks, being able to learn and develop new skills.
