Role:         Senior/Lead Business Analyst

Location:   Remote Based - Candidates must be UK based

Salary:      £50,000 - £60,000pa + 10% Performance Bonus

Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a senior business analyst to come on board and lead a small team of business analysts, working across a functional product development environment as part of their solution delivery team.  Working with agile teams, the senior business analyst will take ownership of all BA initiatives, allocating work to the BA team and overseeing the deliverables, engaging with the other technical teams in order to help innovate, improve and deliver the companies solutions.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Understanding technology solutions, working to ensure customer requirements are gathered by the team and collaborating with the Architecture and Solution Team to deliver the solutions. 
  • Working closely with the business and Product Owners to understand goals, and to ensure requirements are challenged and validated
  • Converting requirements into user stories along with acceptance criteria, additional support documents, and ensuring the delivery team fully understand the expectations
  • Working with the Delivery Lead to manage the backlog of user stories with very clear and unambiguous documentation.
  • Leading a small team of business analysts, developing them and overseeing their work
  • Anticipating, identifying and managing risks & issues in accordance with programme policies, practices and statements, with the ability to balance risk and return.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years Business Analysis experience with leadership/mentoring experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in Digital Transformation projects with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Someone who is able to take ownership of initiatives and manage the deliverables of the team
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the environment and understand the current processes
  • Excellent soft skills. Need to be able to demonstrate a strong business acumen and build relationships with senior stakeholders quickly, as well as identifying and adapting to the needs of the team.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to adjust to evolving ways of working.
  • Worked with Agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM, Kanban, XP, Lean.
  • Experience within Software Development Life-cycle Methodology.
  • Experience of project tools like Jira and Confluence.

Additional Information:

This role is based from home in the UK. You must have the right to live and work in the UK. Whilst this role is predominantly home based, you will be required to travel to the company office once per quarter.
