Role:          Project Delivery Lead

Location:   Northampton - Hybrid working 2/3 days a week in the office

The Role:

A great opportunity for a delivery focused project leader to join my client, a financial services organisation that provides digital services to a number of the major banks within the UK. The role will report to the Change Delivery Manager, and is responsible for the delivery of change projects small-large scale, covering 3rd party and industry led initiatives. The project manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects, from creating project plans, reporting on project progress and the overall delivery of projects to a deadline and set budget.

This role will also be responsible for the coaching of some of the more junior team members, ensuring they follow the project framework and governance. The project lead is expected to manage internal and external stakeholders and therefore it is critical that you develop your business and technical skills as you will be expected to work collaboratively with internal department leads and peers to provide an excellent service to internal and external clients.

 

Skills/Experience required for the Project Delivery Lead:

  • Strong experience delivering projects in a change environment
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks - project governance
  • Experience at managing the delivery of small and large scale implementations in an Agile/Waterfall environment
  • Full project management experience - creating project plans, working to deadlines and within budgets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills - both internal and external
  • Ability to lead/mentor a team of project analysts - overseeing their project deliverables
  • Ability to report to senior management/executive level
  • Prince 2/APMP certified - desirable
  • Financial services experience - desirable
  This is a permanent position, suitable for someone who loves to deliver change and has vast experience working with external customers to delivery projects on a small and large scale. You will be organised, hard-working and clear on the objectives for each project, taking responsibility for resource planning and task management. The role will be a hybrid position with 2-3 days a week expected in the office.
